All in the Family

Sunday afternoon we back tracked to Eisleben to visit the birth and death houses of Matin Luther. He was born in Eisleben in1483 and tragically he died there in 1546 from a sudden heart attack after preaching in a town nearby. Both museums were very well done and showed parts of the original homes. 

While at the birth house we found a Hans Luder family tree showing our family's indirect relationship to Martin Luther. We descend from Martin's younger brother Jakob. Martin changed his name from Luder to Luther after the Reformation.
